EASTBOUND US-290, TEXAS — The eastbound US-290 mainlane exit ramp to Scenic Brook is currently closed to all traffic just west of RM-1826 near mile marker 0568 in Travis County. The ramp closure is causing traffic backups and localized travel delays for eastbound motorists approaching the corridor.
Transportation crews have closed the exit ramp to conduct required work zone safety measures and punch list inspections. Signed detour routes are in place to redirect vehicles around the work area.
TxDOT reports this daytime closure is scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on November 4, 2026. The ramp is expected to reopen to normal traffic immediately following the completion of the inspections.
Drivers and freight haulers should exercise caution through the work zone, expect delays, and prepare to take alternate exits along the route. We will update this report as conditions change or if the roadway clears early.
