SOUTHBOUND I-820, TEXAS — The southbound Interstate 820 ramp connecting to westbound Interstate 20 is completely closed near mile marker 34. The overnight closure shuts down the direct connector ramp from roughly half a mile north of the I-20 interchange.
TxDOT crews have implemented a full nighttime closure of the ramp. A marked detour is currently in place to guide commercial trucks and passenger vehicles around the closure, and no significant mainline delays are currently reported.
Work on the ramp began at 9:00 p.m. on November 3 and is scheduled to continue through the night. The connector is estimated to reopen to normal traffic by 6:00 a.m. on November 4.
Truck drivers and dispatchers routing freight through the southern Fort Worth area should account for detour travel times or utilize alternate routes around the interchange. We will update this report as new information becomes available.
