EASTBOUND US 290, TEXAS — The eastbound US 290 mainlane exit ramp to RM 1826 at Mile Marker 568 is scheduled for full nightly closures. The ramp closure blocks direct access to RM 1826 from the eastbound highway lanes during overnight work hours.
TxDOT crews will be on site conducting road painting and work zone safety enhancements. A designated detour is in place to guide traffic around the closed ramp, and drivers should expect delays approaching the construction zone.
Operations will occur nightly between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., beginning November 1, 2026. Work is scheduled to conclude by 6:00 a.m. on November 4, 2026, when normal ramp access is expected to fully reopen.
Commercial truck drivers and commuters traveling through southwest Travis County should plan alternate routes or allocate extra travel time through the work area. We will update this report as further updates are released.
