EASTBOUND US 290, TEXAS — The eastbound US 290 mainlane exit ramp to Monterey Oaks is completely closed to traffic near mile marker 572, just west of Loop 1. The ramp closure is in effect for all traffic, with delays reported along the eastbound mainlanes.
TxDOT crews have shut down the ramp to carry out essential work zone safety operations and punchlist construction tasks. Detour routes have been established to guide motorists and commercial drivers around the closed exit.
Work began at 8:00 p.m. on October 28, with the closure remaining active throughout the night. Road crews estimate the exit ramp will reopen to normal traffic by 6:00 a.m. on October 29.
Drivers and dispatchers are advised to plan alternate routes ahead of time and exercise caution when navigating around active work zones. We will update this report if road conditions change or if work extends beyond the scheduled clearance time.
