RM-2769, TEXAS — Severe winter conditions have created hazardous travel across both eastbound and westbound RM-2769 from roughly two miles south of County Road 182 to Lime Creek Road (mile markers 0532 to 0526). Significant ice and snow accumulation on bridges, overpasses, and travel lanes has prompted severe delays and active detours along this stretch.
Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) winter maintenance teams are actively patrolling the corridor and operating plowing and de-icing equipment. Road crews are working continuously to treat icy bridges and clear blocked roadway surfaces to restore safe driving conditions.
Due to the extensive ice cover, TxDOT estimates response operations and traffic restrictions could persist through April 22, 2027, at approximately 5:45 PM, depending on changing weather patterns and road surface clearing.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers are strongly advised to route traffic around this corridor and utilize designated alternate routes until full clearance is achieved. We will update this report as TxDOT releases further operational updates.
