FM-812, TEXAS — Severe winter conditions have created significant travel hazards across both northbound and southbound lanes of FM-812, extending from 2.465 miles west of FM-2430 to 0.138 miles east of US-183 (mile markers 0544 to 0538). Ice and snow accumulations on bridges, overpasses, and the main roadway have created treacherous travel conditions, resulting in severe delays and active detours.
TxDOT crews are actively patrolling the corridor and operating snow plows to clear ice from the road surface. Traffic management teams have implemented mandatory detours to divert traffic away from the most severely impacted stretches.
TxDOT currently estimates the clearance and winter maintenance operational window for this segment could extend through April 22, 2027, at 5:45 PM, subject to evolving road and weather conditions.
Motorists, commercial truck drivers, and freight dispatchers are strongly advised to utilize alternate routes and exercise extreme caution if traveling near elevated structures in the region. We will update this report as TxDOT releases further updates or clears the roadway.
