SOUTHBOUND I-35E, TEXAS — All southbound main lanes of Interstate 35E are completely closed between Mile Marker 392 and Mile Marker 391 following a major traffic accident north of SH-34.
Emergency crews are actively working the scene, and a mandatory detour is currently in effect. All southbound traffic is being forced off the interstate at FM 329 to navigate around the blockage.
According to TxDOT, the incident is generating severe backups in the area. Clearance operations are underway, with the highway estimated to reopen by approximately 1:00 PM.
