WESTBOUND US 290, TEXAS — The westbound US 290 mainlane exit ramp to RM 1826 is closed nightly for work zone safety and construction punchlist work between mile markers 570 and 568.
TxDOT crews have marked an official detour for traffic attempting to access RM 1826 from westbound US 290. Motorists moving through the corridor should expect localized delays approaching the work area.
Closures take place nightly between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., with Friday night work extending from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The recurring closure schedule is estimated to conclude by 7:00 a.m. on November 7, 2026.
Motorists and freight dispatchers are advised to plan alternate exit routes and account for additional transit time through the zone. We will update this report as conditions develop.
