WESTBOUND SH-183, TEXAS — A major full closure has shut down all westbound lanes of the SH-183 (Airport Freeway) and SH-121 TEXpress corridor from Main Street to Texas Boulevard (Spur 26). The shutdown impacts the main express lanes near mile marker 0582 in Tarrant County, extending from west of SH-10 to the SH-121 interchange.
Traffic management crews have implemented an active detour to handle nighttime traffic flow. All westbound motorists and freight traffic typically using the toll lanes are being diverted into the general-purpose main lanes, which remain open to accommodate vehicles through the work zone.
The overnight closure is scheduled to remain in effect until approximately 6:30 AM on November 7, 2026, following its initial 9:00 PM start. TxDOT crews expect to reopen all express lanes ahead of the morning peak travel window.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers navigating this segment of the Airport Freeway should anticipate lane merges and brief slowdowns when transitioning to the general-purpose lanes. We will update this report as TxDOT confirms lane reopenings.
