EASTBOUND I-635, TEXAS — Major traffic disruptions are underway on eastbound Interstate 635 in Dallas County. All travel has been reduced to a single lane from approximately 1.3 miles east of State Highway 161 to just west of Interstate 35E, spanning mile markers 27 through 29, following a severe incident reported early Tuesday morning.
Emergency responders and road crews have established two-way traffic control through the active zone. Detours are currently in place to manage the heavy congestion, and motorists are instructed to be prepared for complete stops when approaching the restricted section.
TxDOT officials estimate that clearance and recovery operations will remain active until approximately 8:45 a.m.
Drivers and commercial dispatchers are advised to plan alternate routes around northwest Dallas County to circumvent major corridor delays. We will update this report as new information becomes available.
