NORTHBOUND SH-121, TEXAS — A full overnight closure of the TEXpress lanes along northbound SH-121 (Airport Freeway) is scheduled between mile marker 292 and mile marker 296. All lanes of the eastbound I-820/SH-121/SH-183 TEXpress corridor will be shut down from the Texas Boulevard 26 exit ramp to Industrial Boulevard (FM 157).
General-purpose main lanes will remain open throughout the duration of the work and are not directly affected. Traffic is being routed through an active detour, requiring all drivers to utilize the non-tolled general-purpose lanes.
The nighttime closure begins at 9:00 p.m. on November 5, 2026, and is projected to conclude by 5:00 a.m. on November 6, 2026, when all toll lanes are scheduled to reopen.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers traveling through the Northeast Tarrant County corridor should anticipate minor merges near toll access points and adjust schedules accordingly. We will update this report as TxDOT provides additional information.
