SOUTHBOUND LOOP 1604, TEXAS — The direct connector flyover ramp from southbound Loop 1604 to eastbound US 90 is completely closed to traffic near mile marker 504. The total ramp closure extends from approximately 0.62 miles north of US 90 to just north of the interchange, blocking direct access between the two corridors.
TxDOT crews have shut down the flyover to conduct roadway striping operations on the eastbound US 90 main lanes. An official detour has been established to guide motorists and commercial drivers around the closed interchange.
Work on the connector began at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, and the ramp is scheduled to remain closed until approximately 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 1.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers should account for the ramp closure and utilize designated detour routes when transiting through the area. We will update this report as more information becomes available.
