SOUTHBOUND I-35, TEXAS — All southbound main lanes of Interstate 35 are completely closed between Mile Marker 240 and Mile Marker 241, located roughly one-third of a mile north of the US-183 interchange. The shutdown was reported at approximately 12:47 a.m. following a major traffic incident.
TxDOT response teams and emergency personnel are on scene managing traffic control. A formal detour has been established, and all southbound traffic is being routed off the main lanes to bypass the blockage.
Clearance operations are underway, with transportation officials estimating the roadway will reopen by approximately 5:15 a.m. Delays remain significant throughout the immediate area.
