WESTBOUND I-40, TEXAS — A traffic incident has forced the closure of the left lane on westbound Interstate 40 between Mile Marker 105 and Mile Marker 101. The restricted corridor extends approximately 3.8 miles, beginning just west of FM-2880.
Emergency responders and road crews are currently working along the affected stretch. No official detours have been established, and all passing traffic is being funneled into the remaining open lane.
TxDOT estimates the roadway will be fully cleared and normal traffic flow restored by approximately 8:45 PM.
Commercial drivers and motorists traveling through this section of I-40 are advised to reduce speed, stay alert for on-scene personnel, and prepare for merging traffic. We will update this report as more information becomes available.
