FM 2304, TEXAS — Severe winter conditions have prompted a high-priority traffic alert on both northbound and southbound FM 2304 between mile markers 0448 and 0444, extending from 0.881 miles north of FM 1626 to Manchaca Road. Heavy ice and snow accumulation on bridges, overpasses, and travel lanes have resulted in significant traffic delays and forced travel detours.
TxDOT crews are actively on scene patrolling the corridor, plowing snow, and treating icy roadway surfaces. Due to the dangerous conditions, official detours have been established, and transportation officials are directing all traffic to seek alternate routes.
TxDOT estimates that traffic impacts and active roadway management along this stretch will remain in effect until approximately April 22, 2027, at 5:45 p.m., pending weather changes and clearing operations.
Motorists, dispatchers, and commercial truck drivers are advised to avoid the area, monitor detour signage, and use extreme caution on bridges and elevated structures. We will update this report as TxDOT provides further clearance details.
