NORTHBOUND I-820, TEXAS — All northbound lanes of Interstate 820 are closed at US-287 (Mile Marker 33) in Tarrant County. The complete shutdown spans from approximately 591 feet south of US-287 to 0.28 miles north of the interchange, blocking all through traffic.
Traffic management personnel have implemented an official detour route around the closure. Commercial vehicles and passenger cars are required to follow marked detour signage to navigate past the restricted segment.
The overnight closure began at 11:00 PM on November 4, 2026, and is scheduled to reopen to normal traffic flow by 6:00 AM on November 5, 2026.
Truck drivers and dispatchers routing through the area should adjust transit schedules and prepare for minor travel times along the detour. We will update this report as TxDOT provides additional information.
