NORTHBOUND I-635, TEXAS — A severe traffic incident has forced a complete closure of all northbound travel lanes on Interstate 635 in Dallas County. The blockage is located near mile marker 3, extending from 1.7 miles south of State Highway 352 to approximately 1 mile south of the junction.
All northbound main lanes are currently closed to traffic. Responders and highway maintenance personnel have established an active detour routing all approaching vehicles off the main lanes and onto the adjacent frontage road.
Transportation officials estimate that clearance and roadway management efforts will continue until approximately 9:45 AM.
Commercial truck drivers and commuters traveling through Dallas County should plan for alternate routes to avoid localized slowdowns at the frontage road merge. We will update this report as further information becomes available.
