WESTBOUND I-10, TEXAS — A major crash has forced the closure of all westbound main lanes on Interstate 10 between mile markers 582 and 583, just east of Interstate 410. The incident was reported at approximately 1:05 AM on Thursday, resulting in a complete shutdown of westbound travel.
Emergency personnel and road crews are actively working the scene. All westbound main lane traffic is currently being forced off the interstate and detoured onto the frontage road.
TxDOT officials estimate that recovery and clearance operations will remain underway until approximately 6:00 AM.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers routing through the area should prepare for congestion along the frontage road or seek alternate paths. We will update this report as additional clearance information becomes available.
