NORTHBOUND I-35, TEXAS — A major traffic incident has forced the full closure of all northbound main lanes and an entrance ramp on Interstate 35. The shutdown spans from mile marker 144 to mile marker 145, extending from roughly half a mile west of I-410 to Loop 353.
Emergency personnel and transportation crews have shut down access to the main roadway and are actively diverting all northbound traffic onto the frontage road to bypass the blockage.
TxDOT currently projects that clearance operations will continue through approximately 5:00 PM on November 2, 2026.
Motorists, dispatchers, and commercial carriers traveling through the corridor should anticipate heavy congestion along the detour route and seek alternate travel paths if possible. We will update this report as additional details or lane openings are confirmed.
