FM-928, TEXAS — Both eastbound and westbound lanes of FM-928 are currently impacted by hazardous roadway conditions due to flooding at low water crossings. The closure spans from mile marker 288 to mile marker 290, roughly 4.7 miles west of FM-1424, where standing and moving water has covered the travel lanes.
Transportation officials and local road crews are monitoring the impacted segment. While no formal detours have been established and no significant backups are reported, the roadway remains impassable for regular traffic and commercial vehicles.
TxDOT estimates the water hazard and lane impacts will persist until approximately 12:00 PM on October 26, 2026, contingent on local drainage and weather conditions.
Drivers and freight dispatchers are advised to plan alternate routes and avoid low-lying roadways in the area. We will update this report as more details become available.
