FM 699, TEXAS — Both northbound and southbound lanes of FM 699 are completely closed to traffic near FM 2517 around mile marker 306. According to TxDOT, the total roadway closure is required to accommodate construction crews performing culvert replacement work.
Traffic management crews have established a marked detour route to guide drivers around the active construction zone. Heavy equipment and highway personnel remain on site conducting the necessary excavation and structural repairs.
Work began on October 30, 2026, and the roadway is estimated to remain closed until approximately 5:00 p.m. on November 20, 2026. Drivers in the corridor should anticipate continuous delays throughout the construction window.
