SH-16, TEXAS — State Highway 16 is fully closed in both north and southbound directions south of US-190 due to a traffic crash. The closure extends between 1.68 and 2.62 miles south of the US-190 junction, near mile marker 416, completely halting traffic through the corridor.
Emergency response personnel and clearance crews are actively on scene working to resolve the incident. TxDOT confirms no designated detour is currently in place, resulting in growing delays for regional freight and passenger traffic.
Officials estimate clearance operations will take until approximately 4:30 p.m. to clear the lanes and restore regular travel conditions.
