UPDATE: ROAD REOPENED - October 27, 2026 1:05 AM UTC FM-1834 has reopened in both directions between SH-186 and FM-490 following earlier construction.
FM-1834, TEXAS — Northbound and southbound lanes of FM-1834 are fully shut down between 106 feet south of SH-186 and FM-490 due to active daytime construction operations. The complete roadway closure spans between mile markers 0704 and 0706, halting all through traffic.
Traffic management personnel have implemented detours around the construction zone to keep motorists moving around the blocked segment. Moderate to heavy travel delays are reported in the immediate vicinity of the work zone.
According to TxDOT officials, the daytime closure took effect at 7:30 AM and is expected to remain active until approximately 8:00 PM.
Motorists and commercial truck drivers are urged to utilize alternate routes and exercise caution around highway workers. We will update this report as conditions change or lanes reopen.
