WESTBOUND US-290, TEXAS — The westbound US-290 mainlane exit ramp to Scenic Brook Cannon is fully closed near RM-1826 (mile marker 568) due to scheduled work zone operations. The ramp closure blocks exiting traffic, prompting localized delays for westbound motorists traveling through the corridor.
Road maintenance crews are on site conducting work zone safety adjustments and roadway painting and striping. Designated detour routes have been established to guide traffic around the closed exit.
Work is restricted to overnight hours, operating Thursday night from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and resuming Friday night from 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Saturday. The work is scheduled to conclude and clear the corridor by 7:00 a.m. on November 7, 2026.
