EASTBOUND US-290, TEXAS — The eastbound US-290 mainlane exit ramp to Scenic Brook is fully closed to traffic approximately 0.8 miles west of RM-1826 at Mile Marker 0568. The ramp shutdown is currently causing traffic delays along the eastbound corridor.
TxDOT crews have implemented an active detour to route drivers around the closed ramp while personnel carry out required work zone safety operations and punchlist inspection walks. Work zone signs and directional markers are in place to guide vehicles.
The daytime operation began at 7:00 AM and is projected to conclude by 11:00 AM. All lanes and ramp access are expected to reopen once the on-site inspections are complete.
Commercial truck drivers and local motorists should adjust route schedules or utilize alternate exits through Travis County to avoid backups. We will update this report as new information becomes available.
