NORTHBOUND I-35E, TEXAS — A severe incident on northbound Interstate 35E has forced the highway down to a single lane from Mile Marker 425 to Mile Marker 426, approximately one mile south of SH-180 in Dallas County. The disruption began around 2:55 a.m. and has resulted in substantial traffic backups in the area.
Traffic management personnel have implemented two-way traffic control to maintain movement through the single open lane. Official detours are currently active to divert regional traffic, and approaching motorists are advised to be prepared to stop suddenly.
Texas Department of Transportation officials estimate that clearance and recovery operations will keep restrictions in place until approximately 10:45 a.m.
Commercial vehicle operators and local drivers should expect extended delays and seek alternate routes if traveling through this corridor. We will update this report as soon as lanes reopen or additional details are confirmed.
