EASTBOUND US-290, TEXAS — The eastbound US-290 mainlane exit ramp to RM-1826 and SH-71 is completely closed near Mile Marker 568. The closure spans from approximately 370 feet west to 153 feet west of RM-1826 in Travis County, resulting in local traffic delays.
Crews have shut down the ramp to conduct a scheduled work zone safety inspection and punchlist walkthrough. A detour is in place to guide motorists around the ramp closure.
The daytime closure is scheduled to remain in effect until approximately 11:00 AM today, at which point the exit ramp is expected to reopen to regular traffic.
Motorists and commercial fleet operators should anticipate delays in the corridor and allow extra travel time or use alternative routes. We will update this report as soon as more information becomes available.
