EASTBOUND I-20, TEXAS — All eastbound travel lanes on Interstate 20 are completely closed between Business US-287P and 0.31 miles east of I-820, covering mile markers 442 through 443. The complete lane shutdown is due to a scheduled nighttime closure.
Traffic management personnel have closed the mainlanes to all traffic and established an active detour. Motorists traveling through the corridor are directed to follow the marked detour route to bypass the work zone.
The nighttime closure began at 11:00 PM on November 5, 2026, and is estimated to remain in place until approximately 6:00 AM on November 6, 2026.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers routing through the area should plan for detours and allow extra travel time. We will update this report as new information becomes available.
