TxDOT crews have established an active detour around the closed bridge. Northbound traffic is directed west on FM-97, north on FM-599, east on FM-2733 to SH-86, and back to SH-70. Southbound motorists must detour west on SH-86, south on FM-2733, east on FM-599, and south on FM-97 before reconnecting to SH-70.
The roadway closure began at 5:00 p.m. on November 4, 2026, and is currently estimated to remain in place until approximately 5:00 p.m. on November 5, 2026.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers should account for the detour route and anticipate delays along the alternate farm-to-market roads. We will update this report as TxDOT provides new information or confirms the reopening of the roadway.
