SOUTHBOUND I-35E, TEXAS — Daytime lane closures are active along the southbound Interstate 35E frontage road near FM-1171 (Mile Marker 452). Alternating lane closures are in effect from College Parkway to Main Street as crews conduct asphalt paving operations across both the left and right lanes. Southbound I-35E main freeway lanes remain open to traffic.
Road maintenance crews are actively working on the service road to pave travel lanes while maintaining necessary truck access to adjacent properties. Official detours are currently posted to direct local traffic around the work zones.
The daytime operation began at 9:00 AM on October 27, 2026, and is scheduled to conclude by 3:00 PM on October 28, 2026.
Commercial motor vehicle drivers, dispatchers, and local motorists traveling through Denton County should plan for localized delays on the frontage road and follow all posted detour signage. We will update this report as TxDOT releases new information.
