I-35 FRONTAGE ROADS, TEXAS — Alternating lane closures are active along both northbound and southbound I-35 frontage roads between Petroleum Drive and North Walters Street, spanning Mile Marker 163 to Mile Marker 159. Interstate main lanes remain fully open and are not impacted by the closures.
Construction crews are on-site conducting drill shaft and column operations for elevated highway lanes. Traffic control is operating on an alternating schedule, with closures deployed during daytime hours from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and nighttime hours from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, with lanes reopening when work is not actively underway.
The periodic frontage road closures and associated detours are scheduled to conclude by 5:00 AM on November 9, 2026.
