WESTBOUND I-20, TEXAS — A major traffic incident has prompted a complete closure of westbound Interstate 20 spanning from Mile Marker 23 to Mile Marker 13 in Reeves County. The closure stretches from 0.6 miles east of FM-2903 to roughly 9.4 miles west of the junction.
TxDOT and emergency response personnel have established a detour redirecting all westbound traffic onto the frontage road. Crews remain on-site managing the diversion and working to clear the highway.
The incident was initially reported at approximately 7:34 AM and is currently estimated to clear by 12:00 PM.
Commercial drivers, fleet dispatchers, and regional motorists should anticipate reduced speeds along the frontage road detour or seek alternate routes. We will update this report as more information becomes available or conditions change.
