NORTHBOUND SH-71, TEXAS — Multiple lanes are closed on northbound State Highway 71 near mile marker 590 following an incident reported early Thursday morning. The blockage is located east of SH-130 and west of FM-1209 in Travis County, significantly restricting lane capacity along the roadway.
Emergency responders and maintenance crews are on-site actively managing the scene and clearing the roadway. Motorists traveling through the area are being directed around the blocked lanes.
TxDOT reports the incident began at approximately 5:38 a.m., with an estimated clearance time around 9:00 a.m. While no official detour has been instituted, lane availability remains limited throughout the morning commute.
