EASTBOUND SH 183, TEXAS — A full overnight closure will shut down all lanes of the eastbound SH 121/183 TEXpress corridor from the Hurstview Drive exit ramp to Industrial Boulevard (FM 157). The general-purpose main highway lanes will remain fully open and are not affected by the work.
Traffic management crews have implemented a detour directing all eastbound toll lane traffic back into the general-purpose lanes to bypass the closure. Electronic message boards and advance signage are being placed to assist motorists merging through the corridor.
The nighttime closure is scheduled to take effect at 9:00 p.m. on October 28, 2026, with operations expected to conclude and all lanes reopened by 5:00 a.m. on October 29, 2026.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers planning routes through Tarrant County should anticipate localized merging traffic near the Hurstview Drive exit. We will update this report if road conditions change or if TxDOT extends the scheduled closure window.
