SPUR 69, TEXAS — Eastbound and westbound Spur 69 is experiencing severe traffic impacts from 1.3 miles east of RM 2222 to just east of the intersection near Mile Marker 538. Heavy ice and snow accumulation on bridges and overpasses have resulted in maximum-severity closures and active detours.
Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) maintenance crews are deployed to the corridor, actively patrolling, plowing roadway lanes, and treating elevated surfaces with anti-icing materials.
Officials report that active winter weather monitoring and clearance operations are projected to continue through April 22, 2027, at 5:45 PM.
Motorists and freight dispatchers are urged to avoid the area and reroute around Spur 69 until conditions improve. We will update this report as TxDOT provides updated clearance notices.
