SOUTHBOUND I-37, TEXAS — Southbound Interstate 37 mainlanes are reduced to a single travel lane between Mile Marker 134 and Mile Marker 136, spanning from 0.37 miles north of I-410 to 0.21 miles north of Loop 13. The severe lane restriction stems from active highway construction work.
Work crews are maintaining traffic flow via designated construction detours directed onto the Interstate 37 shoulder. Signs and channelizing equipment are deployed across the zone to shift vehicles safely past the closed travel lanes.
This disruption is restricted to overnight hours only, taking effect at 9:00 p.m. and reopening by 5:00 a.m. each morning. The scheduled nighttime construction operations are projected to continue until November 20, 2026.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers traveling through Bexar County should anticipate narrow passage and adhere strictly to posted work-zone speed limits. We will update this report as new information becomes available.
