SOUTHBOUND I-35, TEXAS — The southbound Interstate 35 Exit 127 ramp is currently closed to traffic between Mile Markers 128 and 127 near FM 471 due to emergency roadway repairs on the adjacent frontage road. The daytime maintenance operation is directly impacting access points along this stretch of the corridor.
Highway crews have established a signed detour and deployed electronic message boards to alert approaching motorists. A pilot car is actively operating to guide local traffic safely through the work zone along the frontage road while the ramp remains shut down.
Repairs are scheduled as a daytime operation only, with TxDOT estimating the ramp will reopen and normal traffic flow will resume by approximately 4:30 PM today, October 27, 2026.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers routing through the area should prepare alternate routes or plan for earlier exits to bypass the FM 471 interchange. We will update this report as soon as new information becomes available.
