SH-95, TEXAS — Severe winter conditions have created significant travel hazards on both eastbound and westbound lanes of SH-95 between mile markers 0436 and 0434. The affected segment spans from 3.13 miles north of Loop 109 to 2.235 miles south of Spur 277, where heavy ice and snow accumulation have impacted roadways, bridges, and overpasses.
Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) maintenance crews are actively patrolling the route and deploying plows to clear ice from the road surface. Because of the severe impact on travel, an official detour has been implemented, and authorities strongly advise motorists to seek alternate routes.
TxDOT operations and safety measures in this corridor are currently projected to remain active through April 22, 2027, at approximately 5:45 p.m., subject to ongoing clearing efforts and weather patterns.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers should reroute shipments to avoid heavy congestion and hazardous bridge conditions along this stretch. We will update this report as TxDOT updates lane access and travel conditions.
