FM 1625, TEXAS — Hazardous icy road conditions have caused severe disruptions across east and westbound lanes of FM-1625. The impacted section spans between mile marker 0452 and mile marker 0450, from approximately 1.8 miles north of FM-1327 to 4.2 miles south of US-183, leading to substantial travel delays and active detour operations.
TxDOT crews and local authorities are managing detour routes and monitoring roadway surface conditions. Due to the high-severity ice accumulation, transportation officials are actively discouraging travel throughout the affected corridor until safety can be restored.
Extended impacts to traffic flow are expected, with cleanup and roadway de-icing operations scheduled to continue until the corridor is deemed safe for general transit.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers should plan alternate paths around the area to prevent bottlenecking and jackknife risks on iced segments. We will update this report as soon as lanes reopen or conditions improve.
