FM-3177, TEXAS — Hazardous winter road conditions have triggered severe delays and mandatory detours on both eastbound and westbound FM-3177. The affected stretch spans from 1.159 miles south of Loyola Lane to 0.224 miles south of US-290, between mile markers 0438 and 0434, where snow and ice have created dangerous travel conditions across bridges and overpasses.
Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) maintenance crews are actively patrolling the corridor and operating snowplows to treat and clear the roadway. Official detours are in place, and transportation authorities strongly advise motorists to bypass the area using designated alternate routes.
TxDOT currently lists an extended clearance and operational monitoring window estimated through April 22, 2027, at approximately 5:45 PM, pending ongoing weather patterns and roadway treatments.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers should avoid this section of FM-3177 and reroute shipments to prevent major transit delays and hazardous bridge navigation. We will update this report as TxDOT issues further updates or conditions improve.
