FM-734, TEXAS — Hazardous winter weather conditions have resulted in significant travel disruptions on both northbound and southbound FM-734 from Mile Marker 0426 to Mile Marker 0438. The impacted stretch extends from 0.815 miles north of McNeil Drive to 2.171 miles west of SH-130, where accumulated ice and snow on the roadway, bridges, and overpasses have triggered a maximum severity rating and major traffic delays.
TxDOT response crews are actively patrolling the corridor and conducting plowing operations to clear the frozen surfaces. A formal detour is in place, and transportation officials are directing all motorists to avoid the area and utilize alternate routes.
The current alert window lists an estimated clearance time of April 22, 2027, at 5:45 p.m., though actual conditions will depend on ongoing weather developments and treatment progress.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers are advised to reroute freight around this corridor and practice extreme caution on all elevated structures throughout the region. We will update this report as TxDOT provides further official updates.
