FM 1100, TEXAS — Hazardous winter weather conditions have prompted a maximum-severity alert along north and southbound FM 1100. The impacted corridor stretches from 1.252 miles west of SH-95 to 0.104 miles north of US-290 (mile markers 0560 to 0552), where severe ice and snow accumulations have compromised travel across bridges, overpasses, and the main roadway.
Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) maintenance crews are on scene actively patrolling the route and conducting plowing operations. Formal detours have been established, and heavy travel delays are reported throughout the corridor as officials urge motorists to use alternate routes.
TxDOT response operations initiated at 9:44 a.m. on November 6, 2026, with clearance and winter weather management conditions currently estimated to continue through 5:45 p.m. on April 22, 2027.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers should plan alternative routing to bypass the segment and reduce speeds significantly when approaching any elevated structures in the region. We will update this report as more information becomes available.
