NORTHBOUND I-35W, TEXAS — The right lane of the northbound Interstate 35W frontage road is closed between Mile Marker 68 and Mile Marker 70, stretching from 2.35 miles north of State Highway 170 to 1.198 miles south of State Highway 114. All main travel lanes on northbound I-35W remain fully open.
Work crews are occupying the frontage road corridor to install two new approaches. A detour has been established to direct traffic around the active work zone.
The Texas Department of Transportation estimates work operations and associated lane restrictions will continue until approximately 3:30 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2026.
Motorists and freight dispatchers routing through this section of Denton County should anticipate localized slowdowns along the access road and follow posted detour signage. We will update this report as new information becomes available.
