FM-835, TEXAS — Texas Department of Transportation officials have closed FM-835 in both north and southbound directions due to hazardous roadway flooding. The complete closure extends from 127 feet north of FM-3020 to approximately one mile south of FM-1729, near Mile Marker 304, where high water has rendered the corridor impassable.
Traffic management personnel have implemented active detours around the submerged stretch. Emergency crews and highway personnel remain deployed in the area to secure the perimeter and restrict access until the roadway is clear.
The closure is currently estimated to remain in place until approximately 12:00 PM on October 31, 2026, contingent on water recession rates and subsequent roadway inspections.
Motorists and commercial fleet dispatchers should seek alternate routes and expect travel delays in the surrounding corridor. We will update this report as soon as new information becomes available.
