FM-1424, TEXAS — High water over the roadway has triggered a severe travel alert along both northbound and southbound lanes of FM-1424. The impacted corridor extends from 3.4 miles north of State Highway 86 to approximately 3.3 miles south of FM-214, centered near mile marker 146.
Transportation crews are actively monitoring the affected stretch to evaluate water levels and roadway structural safety. While no official detour has been established, the roadway conditions pose heightened risks to travel, particularly for heavy commercial vehicles.
TxDOT estimates the water hazard will persist until approximately 12:15 PM on October 31, 2026. The estimated clearance window remains dependent on local drainage and weather conditions.
Commercial drivers and dispatchers should reroute around the area and avoid traveling across flooded pavement. We will update this report as new information becomes available.
