UPDATE: ROAD REOPENED - October 26, 2026 7:00 PM UTC FM-37 has reopened in both directions from 216 feet south of US-84 to 180 feet east of FM-303 following earlier water over the roadway.
FM 37, TEXAS — High water over the roadway has created severe travel hazards along Farm to Market 37 in both eastbound and westbound directions. The impacted corridor stretches from Mile Marker 260 to Mile Marker 266, running from 216 feet south of US 84 to 180 feet east of FM 303.
Texas Department of Transportation crews are monitoring the impacted stretch and managing the scene. While no official detour has been established, warning signs have been deployed to caution drivers approaching the flooded sections of the highway.
TxDOT officials currently estimate the roadway will reopen and conditions will clear by 5:00 PM today. That timeline remains dependent on how quickly floodwaters recede and whether pavement inspections reveal underlying damage.
Motorists and commercial fleet dispatchers should avoid this corridor and divert to alternate regional routes to prevent hydroplaning and stalled vehicles. We will update this report as soon as more information becomes available.
