FM 1626, TEXAS — Both northbound and southbound lanes of FM 1626 are heavily impacted from 0.97 miles north of RM 967 to 0.292 miles north of FM 2770 (mile markers 0526 to 0522) due to hazardous winter weather. Severe ice and snow accumulation have compromised bridges and overpasses, triggering a maximum severity rating and major travel disruptions.
Active detours are in place while Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) crews patrol the corridor and operate plows to treat the ice-covered pavement. Drivers are instructed to bypass the corridor entirely and follow designated alternate routes.
TxDOT response operations initiated on November 6, 2026, at approximately 9:44 a.m., with weather-related roadway impacts and monitor advisories projected to remain in effect through April 22, 2027, at 5:45 p.m.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers should seek alternate routes immediately to avoid severe delays and hazardous bridge crossings. We will update this report as TxDOT updates roadway clearance and route accessibility.
