I-37, TEXAS — The CR 1726 bridge crossing Interstate 37 is fully closed to traffic in both directions near Mile Marker 22, approximately 0.75 miles south of SH-234. The complete closure of the bridge is required to accommodate ongoing construction work.
Traffic management crews have implemented active detours to redirect motorists around the work zone. Drivers and freight haulers attempting to cross I-37 via CR 1726 are being instructed to follow signed detour routes and seek alternate paths.
According to transportation officials, the bridge closure took effect on November 5, 2026, and is projected to remain active until approximately 5:00 p.m. on December 5, 2026.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers should account for the long-term bridge closure when planning local freight deliveries and adjust routes accordingly. We will update this report as new information becomes available.
