BI-35A, TEXAS — Both northbound and southbound lanes of Business I-35A (San Bernardo Avenue) are completely closed near Mile Marker 632, approximately 1.9 miles south of Interstate 35. The full roadway shutdown is the result of an active City of Laredo police investigation into a building fire.
Emergency personnel and local law enforcement have blocked all lanes of traffic to secure the scene. An official detour is in place, and authorities are strongly discouraging non-essential travel through the immediate corridor.
According to transportation officials, the extended lane closures and detour operations are currently estimated to remain in effect until approximately 11:45 PM on November 2, 2026.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers are advised to plan alternate routes around this section of San Bernardo Avenue to avoid local transit delays. We will update this report as further clearance information becomes available.
