SOUTHBOUND FM 969 — A major traffic incident has forced the closure of all southbound main lanes on FM 969 in Travis County on Wednesday night. The shutdown stretches from approximately 407 feet south of FM 3177 (mile marker 0452) to 0.6 miles east of US 183 (mile marker 0450).
Emergency personnel and clearance crews are on site working to resolve the incident and clear the obstructed lanes. With all main travel lanes blocked and no formal detour route established, significant traffic backups are forming in the area.
TxDOT officials project that clearing operations will continue until approximately 12:00 a.m. on October 22. Delays are expected to remain heavy throughout the duration of the closure.
